I’ve been fortunate to travel often in my ongoing pursuit to learn more about journalism, media and mass communication systems here and abroad.  I’ll share my adventures in this space.

Most recently, I had the privilege to participate in a press visit to Brussels sponsored by the European Commission, the administrative unit of the European Union. You can read about the trip on the News @ Grady Web site.

Last year, I participated in the Fulbright Commission’s Berlin Capital Program.

And a few years ago, I took part in Grady’s Study Abroad program in the south of France, where I got to attend premieres at the Cannes International Film Festival.

Walking the famed red carpet at the Palais was a highlight of attending the Cannes Film festival.

Not all of my travels take me overseas.  As you may know, Grady College hosts the Peabody Awards, the oldest and most prestigious awards in electronic media (Stephen Colbert has called them the “turducken” of awards).  I once had the opportunity to serve as a production assistant at the annual awards banquet held at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City.

Where will my next adventure be? Stay tuned…
